CompTIA Conference

It's that time of year where we attend conferences for software vendors, technology partners and solution providers. However, this week we had 2 days in County Hall, next to the London Eye, with CompTIA.

CompTIA are the Computing and Technology Industry Association and MysonPages are pleased to members and part of that community.  Active members too.

It’s a great 2 days to stop, listen and share experiences with likeminded IT professionals, running companies just like ours across the UK. It’s often these little snippets that are the most useful takeaways, not the latest helpdesk, remote management software or something else someone is desperately trying to sell you.

This year 2 keynote speakers stood out. Monty Halls the Marine Biologist, Expedition Leader and sometime TV guy gave us all food for thought about VALUES and ATTITUDES and Dex Barton, one-time speech writer for Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Google and the UN. Both made you think and think that the world will overcome its current troubles as in the end we are still all individuals, and there’s much more good than bad, though sometimes it is hard to remember.

Not bad takeaways for an IT company – we’re human too!
